Add in the mysterious pair she's rented the family ship to in order to stay afloat financially, the return of Elliot, the boy she's loved for age,s who she was engaged to for 12 hours until forced by her drunken father and her aunt to break it, lies, friends and foe who aren't who they seem to be, more questions than answers and a slam bang ending and you have a great YA space opera. Then comes the hacking of her aunt, the captain of the fleet's speech, opening the door to the possibility that there are people on other ships in danger of illness and starvation. Her younger sister, Carina, is far more excited about this 'finding a marriageable person' debacle than Leo is, but it's her responsibility as the older, more responsible sibling, to find someone rich enough who is willing to marry her as she's royalty. ![]() It's like the old coming out parties in high society, only it's held on one of the fancier space vessels circling earth as everyone awaits the planet returning to habitability following a gigantic volcanic eruption. Princess Leonie, or Leo as she prefers to be called, is about to endure the social torture known as the Valg Season. ![]()
